Russia (MNN) ― Despite the anti-American adoption law, Americans are with orphaned kids right now. A team of 20 people with SOAR International Ministries are visiting orphanages, playing with kids, and singing songs.

Speaking from just outside Moscow, SOAR's Greg Mangione says, "We have been welcomed with open arms. There's been some cautiousness--not wanting to step on toes of leadership, but the orphanages, the directors, and teachers have been very grateful."

Working with the local church, the team has a Gospel magic show while the church has "a Gospel puppet skit put together. So it's been a great time of evangelizing these kids and just spending some time, showing them love."

SOAR is nearly half-way in their goal of delivering 1800 gifts to orphans as part of their "Stuff a Stocking" campaign.

Pray that the churches will be effective in following up. If you'd like to help SOAR with their upcoming Easter Basket outreach, go to www.MissionNetworkNews.org.
