INDIA (MNN) ― It's almost December, the time of year for wrapping up in a cozy blanket.

But in northern India where winter brings severely cold weather, many families share one blanket among all of their children. Some families do not have a blanket at all.

Mission Society missionaries Pete and Esther Pereira live in Hyderabad, India where they work with Hope for Today.

They are involved in church planting, leadership training seminars, evangelistic campaigns, and preaching and teaching within the churches. The Pereira's also work with women and children through the Alpha Schools and Homes, a vocational training center, medical camps, and a nutritional feeding program.

The need for blankets in northern India is great, and Peter and Esther are raising money to provide 3,000 blankets this December. Many of the people there are considered least reached or unreached.

A small act of kindness like a warm blanket can be a powerful blessing and show God's love in a practical way.

Each blanket costs $10.00 and will be delivered to a needy family. You can make a donation by clicking here. Be sure to note "Pereira's - Christmas blankets" in the field which lists the Pereira's name.

Pray that delivering these blankets will provide an opportunity to share the Gospel.
