Russia (MNN) ― Russian Ministries just finished celebrating Christmas with orphaned children in the Russian republic of Chechnya. We caught up Paul Tokarchuk as he was returning from the outreach to the area that's home to terrorism.
Tokarchuk says they delivered Project Hope Christmas gifts to children orphaned by the Chechen war. God's Word was a part of each gift. "It was hard to verbally share the Good News, but we built relationships for the future. We're ministering here more than once a year. Local authorities promoted kids to read their Bibles in front of all the audience."
60,000 Project Hope Christmas gifts were distributed in the former Soviet Union. Tokarchuk says this paves the way for ministry this summer. "Hopefully we will follow up with Christian summer camps. So, if someone would be willing to donate for this project in the future in the summer camp, that would be great for follow up."
