A training in progress.

International (MNN) ― HCJB Global is getting ready to help train believers in basic radio production.

Their United Kingdom radio department, known as "Whistling Frog Productions," is helping teach basic production for both pre-recorded and live radio programs with an emphasis on evangelism.

Students will learn how radio can reach those outside the Church through creative and relevant Christian radio programs. Whistling Frog will teach participants how to produce programs that communicate the love of God without resorting to religious jargon.

Their philosophy of radio is more important than just the "know-how" of how to hold a microphone or how to interview.

According to Whistling Frog, their team has  trained staff and volunteers at the BBC, Trans World Radio in the UK, Radio Worldwide, UCB and at many media conferences. They have also planned and taught radio courses in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Romania, Kosova, Spain, North Africa and West Africa.

Many of these courses have been part of HCJB's Radio Planting ministries, helping local Christians around the world to set-up community-based radio stations to reach their neighbors with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Radio planting is one of their fastest-growing ministries, as new stations have been installed and people have been given training on every continent. Since 1990, more than 300 radio stations have been planted in more than 40 countries. The planted stations are locally run and independent of HCJB.

A two-week residential course with Radio Worldwide in Leeds starts July 5-18. Another course with Canaan College runs for 10 Wednesdays starting Sept. 17 at the HCJB Global-UK office in Bradford. Click here for more information.
