India (MNN) ― Book of Hope is excited about India's national broadcast of The GodMan this Christmas season. Godman is a 3D animated film on the life of Christ.
When used as a tool along with the Book of Hope, the film enhances excitement about reading the Word of God, and the book generates excitement about seeing the film. According to the Book of Hope, the synergy between the book and the film creates a "Storying Edition" of the Gospels.
This means that oral cultures in remote villages won't be excluded. The oral telling, accompanied by corresponding illustrations from the movie tell the story of Christ to the entire village.
It's an amazing open door to reach lost souls with the Gospel, because Indian television reaches a potential viewing audience of 1.1 billion people in India and parts of Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka.
Book of Hope Executive Director Rob Hoskins said of last year's airing, that between the media release and the ground covered in personal interaction with friends and neighbors, "we have the potential to present the Gospel to over one billion people through the TV broadcast as well. What a tremendous opportunity!"
Pray that it reaches ready hearts, and pray that the body of Christ will be ready to disciple new believers.
